Boyfriend to follow-up with “YOU & I”

Rookie idol group Boyfriend will be wrapping up their promotions for “Boyfriend” this week in order to move onto their follow-up track, “YOU & I“.

The boys chose the song that received the hottest response from both fans and music critics alike.

Unlike their sweet and cutesy debut concept, they’ll be working with a ’cold city man’ charm to capture the hearts of nuna fans everywhere all over again.

Produced by hit composer Brave Brothers, the boys have teamed up with dance team DQ (who’ve worked with MBLAQ, B2ST, and Rain) to reflect their new image change in their choreography.

Boyfriend’s Minwoo talks about meeting IU

Boyfriend’s maknae Minwoo shared his special memory of working with the talented IU.

Before debuting with Boyfriend, Minwoo was featured in K.Will’s music video for “Can’t Open Up My Lips” as the boy who had a crush on IU. Following the MV release, he became the #1 searched topic for the term, “IU’s younger man.”

When asked about what it was like working with IU, Minwoo answered, “She was a lot prettier in real life.”

He added, “She’s a sunbae I admire and like. It was the role of a boy who had a one-sided crush, but I was happy with just the fact that I was able to work with her.”

The filming of the music video was said to have taken 12 hours. As a gift of support, IU also surprised Minwoo with a singing performance.

Minwoo said, “IU sang me a song during break time and she was really good. She must have been tired, so it was memorable to see her care about me.”

Taeyeon is the Most Desirable Idol

Famous arranger and composer, Don Spike, exposed himself as a fan of Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, saying that she is the most desirable idol.

Taeyeon can really sing well. Although I've never seen her singing live before, I thought she has an outstanding vocal after listening to her recorded song. During recording, you can hear a singer's actual voice clearly. Without other effects or mixing works done, I was hugely impressed by Taeyeon's singing. Her techniques, feel of the song and everything are excellent. As an arranger, if you listen to the vocals, you get your own feelings about them. Listening to singers' vocals every day, there are always concerns on how to "dress them up". However, Taeyeon's voice seems to "fit in any clothes"

Don Spike worked together with Taeyeon and Kim Bum Soo on their duet song "Different", released on 31st January 2011.

Rookies A Pink and Boy Friend come together for a special dance medley on Music Bank

Some of 2011's power rookies come together tonight on KBS Music Bank's mid-year special to performance a special dance medley. A Pink first performed their debut song, "I Don't Know," which was released along with their album "Seven Springs of Pink." The mini-album was released in April and A Pink caught attention for their innocent charms.

Rookie group Boy Friend then joined the girls of A Pink on stage, and together, they performed approximately a minute long dance-medley before beginning their own performance of their debut song, "Boy Friend."

Boyfriend-K.Will 'Perfect Teamwork', together on 'Inkigayo'

Boyfriend and K.Will put on an exciting performance of Psy's 'Celebrity'.

For the Summer Special on SBS 'Inkigayo' that was aired on the 26th, Boyfriend performed their title song 'Boyfriend' with their sweet voices.

Following the Summer special, K.Will entered and put on a joint performance of Psy's 'Celebrity' together with Boyfriend. They gained attention for their teamwork as K.Will took care of the vocals as he surprised everyone with his rapping skills and as Boyfriend danced in the background.

This song 'Celebrity' that K.Will performed fit summer as it was a exciting and cool and spread the feel of summer to the viewers.

Donghyun, Minwoo, Youngmin, Kwangmin, Jungmin and Hyunseong are part of the new wave bands, this 6 member group 'Boyfriend' has been recieving explosive responses and interest from their surroundings even before debut.

Hyun Joong finally met his look alike twins

Kim Hyunjoong has met the the 'twin Kim Hyunjoong'.

Boyfriends Youngmin and Kwangmin have been receiving a lot of attention from nuna fans recently as 'Kim Hyunjoong twins'. They appeared on a variety program together as Kim Hyunjoong couldn't hide his surprise from the resemblance.

Youngmin said to Sports Chosum "We got to record a show with Kim Hyunjoong. It was an honor when Kim Hyunjoong said, 'It's like I'm looking at my younger self'."

Boyfriend's Youngmin, Kwangmin, Minwoo, Hyunseong, Jungmin and Donghyun have recieved a lot of attention for their many nicknames before debut such as 'twin Kim Hyunjoong'. They are in the middle of promoting their love confession song 'Boyfriend' after they releasing their single. Expecially their 'Aegyo Dance' has been popular as they hold both hands and shake their legs side to side.

Boyfriend's Kwangmin and Youngmin had their first kiss stolen by a staff member

On the June 23rd episode of KBS 2TV's "Happy Together 3," Boyfriend's Kwangmin and Youngmin were guests on the the show. On the episode, the twins revealed that their first kiss was stolen by a staff member.

Kwangmin and Youngmin revealed, "There was a staff noona that thought we were both really cute. She ended up kissing us on the forehead or the cheek. She ran off right after she kissed us."

The twins also said, "After it happened we felt bad, but above all, it was humiliating."

In addition to debuting in Boyfriend a couple months ago, Kwangmin and Youngmin showed their increasing popularity when they were selected to be special MCs on Music Core when SHINee's Onew and Minho were away in London.

Boyfriend's Youngmin is Cinderella

On the recent broadcast of KBS' Happy Together where the special guests consisted of SS501's Kim Hyun Joong and Hyo Young Saeng, SISTAR's Hyorim, ZE:A's Kwanghee and Boyfriend's Jo Twins.

Jo Youngmin revealed he onced played the role of Cinderella and a guy confessed to him and wanted to be his girlfriend. Youngmin did not know what to do and replied that he already have a boyfriend.

Boyfriend’s Youngmin & Kwangmin meet Yoo Jae Suk for the first time in five years

Boyfriend’s twin brothers Youngmin and Kwangmin met up with MC Yoo Jae Suk for the first time in five years while guesting on KBS’s ‘Happy Together 3‘!

The twins first met the famous MC through SBS’s ‘Truth Game‘ five years ago when they starred on the show as children. Yoo Jae Suk stated, “They were so handsome when they were little, I just knew that I’d see them again. They grew up to be such handsome young men.”

Kim Hyun Joong was also a guest on the show and the boys are also known for being Kim Hyun Joong look-alikes, so they parodied his scenes from KBS’s ‘Boys Over Flowers’ as well as performed a dance cover of his “Break Down” title track.

Boyfriend Donates Proceeds From Fanmeeting

Rookie group 'Boyfriend' held their first fanmeeting on June 19th at the KT Olleh Square,Seoul. The group also decided to use this fanmeeting as an opportunity to sell merchandise, the profit from the merchandise is to be donated to various charities.

Not only that, but children from the Regional Children's Center were also invited to the event. Officials from KT Music hoped that the children as well as the fans of Boyfriend found the event to be a fun experience.

Boyfriend to document their debut process through Mnet’s “M! Pick”

Rookie idol group Boyfriend will be revealing their debut process through their Mnet’s “M! Pick.”

“M! Pick” is a reality program that introduces rookies and shares their debut stories. Stars such asSS501 all went through the process, and it’s now even called ‘the gateway to the industry for idols’.

Through the show, Boyfriend will be showing what their day-to-day life is like off-stage. They will also be given fun missions like collecting fanclub members and holding fan meetings through the program.

The boys are currently awaiting their official debut with the help of Brave Brothers and DQ on May 26th.

After releasing their MV teaser for “Water Floor“ earlier this week, Starship Entertainment’s upcoming boy group, ‘Boyfriend‘, has followed up with their album jacket photos today.
