We recently reported that 2PM's Junsu is likely to join KBS's upcoming show "Immortal Song 2," the idol version of "I am a Singer" which will begin airing on June 4. Additionally, the press conference, in which the cast gathered together and expressed their opinions about appearing on the show, was just held on May 16.A lot of attention has been directed toward the currently confirmed cast. From May 16 until May 22, smartphone portal Jisiklog held a poll asking users to vote for who they think will perform the best on "Immortal Song 2."
Among 1,913 poll voters, IU reached first place with 41% of the total votes. Following behind her were 2AM's Changmin with 18%, SHINee's Jonghyun with 17%, as well as Sistar's Hyorin, BEAST's Yoseob, and Super Junior's Yesung who all received 8% of the votes.
For the question in the poll that asked which artist will perform the best cover of Shim Subong's songs, IU came out on top again with 37% of the votes; Hyorin came in second with 20%. Lastly, as "Immortal Song 2" is the idol version of "I am a Singer," the third question asked which artist would likely be able to appear immediately on "I am a Singer." IU came out on top for a third time with 43% of the votes, demonstrating her immense popularity and potential on the show.
