Kangta to play an emperor in Chinese drama

According to SM Entertainment on May 30th, Kangta has been chosen to play an emperor in a new upcoming Chinese drama. The drama "Violin," which is based on a novel, is a story about two royal families who struggle for power, love, and revenge.

Along with Kangta, Chinese actress Liang Yanfei will be starring in the Kim Aoxun directed drama. Korean actress Lee Taeran has also joined the cast of "Violin."

This is not Kangta's first oversea drama, as he has been casted in the Chinese dramas "Magic Touch of Fate" and "Love In The City 2."
