Fans in South America, get ready because SM Entertainment is planning on bringing the SM Town Concert to Brazil and Chile in July! Due to the popularity of SM’s artists in South America, as proven by a Brazilian program where Super Junior, BoA, SNSD and SHINee took the #1 to #4 spots as the Korean artists viewers would most want to see in Brazil, SM has decided to expand into a continent where no other KPop artists has stepped into before.
SM Entertainment representatives stated, “SM’s ripple effect is really amazing. They have already taken over USA, China and Japan and are now accomplishing the unheard precedent of going to Europe and South America. Isn’t this the path of a true ‘World Star’?”
It was just a few weeks ago when “SM Town in Paris” was announced and everyone was bewildered by the fact that a continent other than North America was added onto their definition of “world” tour. Now, SM is preparing for a concert in South America as well. I am so happy for fans of South America and Europe!
