Sportscaster Song Ji-seon Committed Suicide

30 years old sportscaster Song Ji-seon found dead on a parking lot next to her apartment. Authorities said that she committed suicide on Monday by jumping from the window of her apartment.

Police said she apparently leapt from the window of her apartment on the 19th floor. "We found a note on her desk and are checking whether it was a suicide note."

On the 7th, she twitted on her personal Twitter account,

"Too scared to jump off an apartment and it will hurt too much to hang myself.” Her friend saw the tweet and alerted the police. Song was later found to be sleeping, after taking three sleeping pills."

She hosted a baseball program on the MBC Sports Plus cable channel and was rumored to have been involved in a romantic relationship with Doosan Bears pitcher Im Tae-hoon that went sour.

When the rumors refused to subside, Im Tae-hoon was demoted to a minor league team, and Song was temporarily suspended from the program.

In an interview on Sunday, she admitted she met Im Tae-hoon in 2008 and the two fell in love. But Im Tae-hoon, who returned to the major league on Sunday, continues to deny the relationship.
