Alex has surgery for his herniated disc

After it was revealed that singer Alex suffered from a herniated disc, he finally agreed to have surgery to repair it. The injury was discovered over three years ago and since then, he has been exercising and stretching to deal with the condition. However, his condition became substantially worse over the last three weeks.

On the morning of June 11th, Alex was admitted to the Seoul Kangnam Choice Hospital. At the hospital, Alex had endoscopic surgery to repair his 4th and 5th cervical disc herniation. Representatives of the hospital reported, "Alex received special endoscopic surgery to push in his protruding disks. The surgery took ten minutes, but he stayed in the recovery room for an hour until his condition was stable enough to return home."

Agency officials commented, "There is no risk in interfering with Alex's future activities now. He will receive outpatient treatment for 2-3 more weeks." They continued, "During this time, he will also continue preparations and work on his album."
