Following the first episode of KBS's idol show "Immortal Song 2," contestants Yesung, Jonghyun, IU, and BEAST's Yoseob have already left the show, allegedly due to their busy schedules that come in conflict with the show. Not only that, but there has beencriticism of the show's brutal elimination standards.Replacing these contestants are Secret's Song Jieun, 2PM's Junsu, FT Island's Lee Hongki, and MBLAQ's G.O. Song Jieun, who replaced IU, made her first appearance on the second episode. As Yesung, Jonghyun, and Yoseob will remain on the show through the third episode, their replacements will not be appearing until afterward.
With regards to the new contestants, PD Kwon Jaeyoung said that their skills were surprising and though he was initially worried, they were all well prepared and brought a rise in song arrangement and vocal quality.
Kwon also praised G.O, saying, "I knew that G.O was good but didn't know the full extent of his talent. He's really something. Perhaps he will surprise many people when the episode is broadcast."
"Immortal Song 2," which began airing June 4, has already experienced a large change in its cast in only a little over a week. Who will you be rooting for now?
