The injunction was filed as a result of the revocation of JYJ's charity concert permit; JYJ had originally planned to hold a charity concertfor the earthquake relief in Japan. Avex Entertainment, JYJ's former management agency in Japan, put a stop to the concert with astatement explaining that their company had exclusive contract rights with JYJ and that they were not informed of the charity concert. As a result, C-Jes filed a provisional injunction against Avex Entertainment.
After JYJ filed their lawsuit against SM Entertainment, they signed a contract with Avex Entertainment. Following this, Avex suspended their activities, stating that JYJ should refrain from promoting in Japan while their legal proceedings were still under way in Korea. The "suspension of activities" had stopped JYJ from doing any promotional activities in Japan. Since Avex Entertainment failed to promote the group in Japan, JYJ and C-Jes filed a termination of contract on February 22nd. In a press statement from C-Jes, they stated that although their contract had been terminated, Avex did not recognize the termination but they instead, "without taking any form of legal action, used their influential power as a big corporation and told untruths to the venue side from the background, utilizing unfair influences to obstruct this charity event."
However, C-Jes also explained that they were now dropping the lawsuit because they were no longer barred from performing in Japan. The statement mentioned that "given the current circumstances of the charity event being just around the corner [June 7th], it was decided that we would not continue with the lawsuit against Avex, as stated in the topic (of this press release)." C-Jes ended their statement by affirming that they will continue to confirm the validity of their actions through the legal system.
