Although the pilot episode of KBS' new idol variety show, "Immortal Song 2" only just recently aired on June 4th, many of the idols that were originally cast such as Yesung, IU, Jonghyun, and Yoseob have already left the program. The program is also coming under fire for its seemingly excessive standards of elimination.
The premises of the elimination involves two idols being compared to one another on the basis of a points system, with the one with the lower score being eliminated. Many netizens who watched the first episode felt that the elimination process is too harsh, and that the idol singers are too young to be subjected to that kind of comparison and elimination from the episode.
It is yet unknown in which direction "Immortal Song 2" will be headed, or who will replace the departed idols.
