J.Y. PARK explains 2PM’s past sad songs

J.Y. PARK sent his thanks to 2PM’s fans, reflecting on the group’s status and energetic vibe with their recent ‘Hands Up‘ comeback.

On the 24th, JYP wrote on his Twitter, “Why were 2PM’s songs from the past two years so sad? Because we were sad.”

He continued, “We created ‘Hands Up’ because we were finally ready to have fun. Thank you to Hottest for having taken care of these kids thus far.”

2PM’s past songs include “Again & Again“, “Hate You“, “Heartbeat“, “Tired of Waiting for You“, and “I’ll Be Back“, all of which feature sad and depressing melodies and lyrics. Many felt like the boys and their producer and boss JYP were in a sad state of mind, so “Hands Up” is definitely a boost of energy to this group of “beast idols”.
