KARA’s new Japanese single grabs #1 spot on sales chart

Although KARA’s new single, “Go Go Summer,” will not be released until June 29th, the pre-orders of the single were enough to help the girls grab the #1 spot on the Tower Records online sales chart just two days after the pre-sales began. The success comes after KARA’s record of being the first Korean female idol group to grab the weekly #1 spot on Oricon with their previous single, “Jet Coaster Love.”

Many people were anticipating the new single given the well-received response for the previous single, and it seems that the group has taken the first step to success with the pre-order achievement.

KARA will begin promoting “Go Go Summer” in Japan in support of the release. The upbeat summer single will be released in the form of a Version A (limited edition CD + DVD), Version B (CD + photobook), and Version C (CD + bonus track). In particular, the song “Girls Be Ambitious” is the commercial song for the Japanese brand Palty, while “Go Go Summer” will be the commercial song for LG’s Optimus Bright smartphone.

Aside from the Japanese promotions, KARA will also be thanking their Korean fans through an official fan party to be held in Seoul on June 11th.
