Kim Soo Na, Um Ki Joon, and Lee Dong Wook has been casted to star in SBS's upcoming romantic comedy series that is tentatively entitled, "Scent of A Woman."
Kim Soo Na will be playing the character of 'Lee Yeon Jae', an old maid who slaved her self in a travel agency for years, tries to search for her own happiness by taking off overseas. Scenarist Noh Ji Seol said, "I couldn't think of anyone but her as the lead when I wrote this. She was the first on the casting list and I am glad she agreed to play the role. She has been very passionate about the drama, offering ideasof her own, seemingly preparing as much as me."
Um Ki Joon will play the role as 'Doctor Choi,' Yeon Jae's classmate and friend in elementary.
As for Lee Dong Wook, it was said that he will play a role as the son of the travel agency's CEO. He will shoot his parts in the drama as soon as he is discharged from his mandatory service on June 20.
The production team said, "The drama will be on one of the biggest scales you'll have seen a romantic comedy, being shot against the backdrop of a number of luxurious resorts overseas, we play to make viewers happy from just watching the drama."
"Scent of A Woman" is directed by Park Hyung Gi together with scenarist Noh Ji Seol and is scheduled to air on July 16 after the ongoing series "New Gisaeng Story" finishes its run.
