Producer Brave Brothers earns 10 billion won in royalties, is compared to G-Dragon

On June 23, Brave Brothers (born Kang Dongchul) appeared on Mnet's latest episode of "Beatles Code". According to him, he earned 100 billion won (approximately $927 thousand USD) in royalties after producing hits like Lexy's "Above the Sky", Son Dambi's "Crazy", and Brown Eyed Girls' "How Come".

The famous Korean producer has also worked with artists such as Big Bang, After School, and U-Kiss. For Big Bang, he arranged "Lies" and "Forever With You", as well as helped compose "Last Farewell"; he penned the lyrics, arranged, and composed After School's "Diva" and "AH", as well as dozens of other songs for various other K-pop artists.

Last month on "Beatles Code", Big Bang's Seungri revealed his fellow member G-Dragon also earns a lot from royalties. While Seungri did not disclose an actual monetary value, he disclosed that G-Dragon receives more than composer Cho Youngsoo, and is "currently considered #1 in the Copyright Association" with about 120 songs registered under his name. These registered songs include songs written for Big Bang, Taeyang, 2NE1, and Uhm Junghwa.

Who do you think earns more through royalties?
