With a new leader and a new album set for release next month, T-ara opened up about their upcoming album's concept and their Japanese debut.
In discussing their title track "RolyPoly" T-ara commented "RolyPoly' means that no matter what happens, you have to rise up and stay strong no matter what the challenge", the song will have an 80s disco influence but with elements of a more modern sound.
On the idea behind their album ‘John Travolta Wannabe‘ T-ara revealed "We thought of this concept when we watched the movie 'Saturday Night Fever'. It has a passionate, enthusiastic feeling that is catchy and stays with you for a long time. The feeling on stage will be like the film's character played by John Travolta." and admitted "we even listened to retro music to prepare and also looked at fashion magazines or pictures to help us prepare for our performances."
Following the album's release T-ara will hold their Japanese showcase July 5th, and are expected to release their debut Japanese single "Bo Peep Bo Peep" on August 3rd.
