India to remake Korean SBS drama "Smile, You"

"Smile, You" will be the first Korean drama to have a remake in India. The SBS television drama featured Lee Minjung and Choung Kyungho that aired in Korea in 2009 with 45 total episodes.

"Smile, You" is about Seo Jungin, who is played by Lee Minjung, the daughter of a rich family. Her family experiences a financial crisis and moves in with her chauffeur. After finally adjusting to her new life, she begins to fall in love with the son of the chauffeur, Kan Hyunsu, who is played by Choung Kyungho.

An official from SBS Content Hub said, "The younger generation in India has shown great interest in K-pop and Korean dramas. It's inspiring to see how the remake of 'Smile, You' has made way for exchange between Korea and India."

The remake of "Smile, You" is set to air on India's Star TV.
