Lee Hyori's former composer Bahnus ordered to pay damages

Back in June 2010, it was revealed that six of the songs on Lee Hyori’s album, "H-Logic", were plagiarized. While the culprit was the songs' composer Bahnus, who withheld and falsified information when selling the songs to Lee Hyori, damage was done to Lee Hyori’s career, and promotions were forced to be stopped only after a couple of months.

After over a year since the incident came to light, Seoul Central District Court has finally concluded and ordered Bahnus to pay a total of 270 million won (approximately $257,000 USD) to Lee Hyori’s management company.

Since the incident, Lee Hyori has halted her activities and spent most of her time on volunteering activities. Her comeback, originally anticipated to fall in the first half of 2011, was delayed until August or September. More recently, she released a second single for the Naver campaign with the proceeds going to the animal shelter.
