Koichi Domoto, a member of Japanese idol duo KinKi Kids, will be making a special appearance onMnet’s ‘M! Countdown’ this week.
Last month on his show, ‘Shin Domoto Kyoudai,’ Domoto shared the news that he would be traveling to Korea to hold a concert. He said, “I’m preparing very diligently in order to put on a performance that everyone in the crowd will enjoy. I promise it’ll be a show worth watching.”
Domoto’s first Korean concert, ‘Koichi Domoto 2011 BPM In Seoul‘ will be held August 10th in Seoul Olympic Hall. Fans are eagerly anticipating the show, as this will be Domoto’s first official visit to Korea.
Fans have commented, “I can’t believe he’s actually coming to Korea,” and “I’m so excited to see Domoto perform in person.”
Artists under the same entertainment company, such as KAT-TUN and Yamashita Tomohisa, are all known to be large-scale entertainers and so expectations are even higher for Domoto’s show.
Domoto has been active and popular as a singer, actor, and talk show MC since he debuted in 1997. His group KinKi Kids is known for their humorous, yet impressive stage manners and have a substantial fanbase in Korea already. The duo is so popular in Japan that all 31 of their singles released after debut have placed first in the Oricon single chart.
Be sure to check out Domoto’s performance on M! Countdown later this week!
