On August 28th at 9 am, Sooyoung was traveling to do her volunteer work helping the visually impaired. A car in the opposite lane crossed over into her lane and crashed into her car, sending the singer to the hospital for treatment.
Today, SM Entertainment revealed that, "Sooyoung is suffering from a sacrovertebral fracture from the car accident, but thankfully, the injury is nothing serious."
Accord to her doctor, her back injury was not serious and would heal quickly with rest and treatment. Sooyoung is expected to make a full recovery.
Due to her injuries, the singer will not be able to participate in the group's upcoming activities such as "SM TOWN LIVE in Tokyo" and their concert in Taiwan.
